About me

Hi, I’m Brigitte!

I'm here to support your movement journey.

After 15 years of supporting clients through their pregnancy, labor, birth, lactation & the postpartum year, I decided to create this virtual space as a home for Rooted workshops & teacher trainings.

My Background

I have always been fascinated

by the human body.

Brigitte Arlé, C-IAYT, NCPT, ERYT 500, RPYT, YACEP, CEIM, CLC is a yoga therapist that has been practicing yoga since childhood. She was first introduced to classical Pilates mat in 1995 as a young dancer. Brigitte has taught in studios, sports clubs, schools, community centers, corporate offices, physical therapy clinics, hospitals, & the NY Stock Exchange. In 2005, she was interviewed at the United Nations for her work teaching therapeutic yoga & dance in the Beit Jabrin Refugee Camp in the West Bank. As a new Pilates teacher, Brigitte sought out mentorship from Mary Bowen, a Pilates Elder. Mary encouraged Brigitte to slow down and dive into birth work and perinatal Pilates. Brigitte has been working with prenatal clients ever since. Brigitte has served on the board of directors at the NYC Doula Collective and supported clients as a full spectrum doula and lactation counselor.

In 2017, she opened Rooted Boston, as a way of sharing her expertise in both the joy and healing power of movement. Brigitte teaches her courses, workshops, & trainings in NYC, Boston, London, & the EU. In 2022, Brigitte presented her Pilates for Pelvic Organ Prolapse workshop at the Pilates Method Alliance Conference & Expo. Brigitte has taught yoga & Pilates at Harvard University's Fitness & Recreation Department, was a faculty member of Boston University's Dance Department. Brigitte currently teaches at UCC's Mardyke Arena.

Brigitte has been honored to support hundreds of families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Working with clients and students in class has been the greatest learning experience she's had.
